Sarah Faircloth
Sarah Faircloth is a certified Anusara Yoga teacher and co-founder of Sangati Healing Arts. She was introduced to yoga and Eastern philosophy as a child by her father, and began developing her practice as a teenager with her twin sister, Rachael Goolsby. She has studied with world class yoga teachers all over the country, and earned her certification in February 2003 from John Friend, founder of Anusara yoga. Sarah practices yoga daily in the forms of asana, meditation, relationships and life. Her efforts in developing an Anusara kula in North Carolina are nationally recognized. She continues her academic studies with renowned Eastern Religion and Philosophy scholars, Dr. Douglas Brooks and Dr. Bill Mahony. Sarah offers classes that weave the foundations of good alignment with the narratives and subtleties of yoga philosophy. Her classes are challenging, empowering, and playful. Recently, Sarah was one of a small number of teachers selected personally by John Friend to teach at the upcoming Anusara Grand Gathering at the Yoga Journal Conference in Estes Park, CO this September.
Brooks Haislip
Brooks Haislip is a certified Anusara Yoga teacher and co-owner of Sangati Healing Arts. After practicing as a massage therapist for seven years, she now incorporates her in-depth knowledge of the body into her yoga teachings and is empowered by the ways these modalities overlap and strengthen each other. She continues her studies with John Friend and several of Anusara's leading certified instructors, including Sarah Faircloth, Desiree Rumbaugh and Sianna Sherman. Her steadfast interest in her studies of Anusara Yoga coupled with continued philosophy studies with Douglas Brooks, Paul Muller-Ortega and Bill Mahoney gives her a strong basis for an enriched style of teaching. Her classes are dynamic, explorative, challenging and fun! Brooks is devoted and focused on developing a community for holistic healing in Charlotte and in the southeast, and pursues her dreams of international seva and teacher trainings soon to come!
